Apache Junction Feb. 19th--28th

Feb.19th

There was wind and heavy rain today. After doing the blog in the afternoon we went to the VFW
for supper and a dance with Arvid and Glenda. The Saddle Tramps Larry and Judy from Iowa
were great entertainers.

Feb.20th

It rained all night and day. We drove over to Mesa to visit Daphne and Bill Chalmers (Calgary)in the afternoon. We are enjoying the fresh oranges and grapefruits Ralph and others picked.

Feb.21th

Bon Voyage Karilee (two weeks in Kauai)
It was cooler in the morning. We drove out to the Renaissance Festival near Gold Canyon and stayed until 5 pm. There was lots of traffic and people because of the President's Day Holiday.
It was a fun filled festival with everything Medieval---castles,costumes,entertainment,jousting
and belly dancers etc. We had a beer with Ralph's friend Al(Buzzard)and friend Fay.

Feb.22nd

We had breakfast at the Waffle House and toured three RV Resorts near us. 20 Deg.C.
Ralph and I went to the excellent dinner show "Barleen's Arizona Opry" 5:30 to 10:00pm.
Good meal and great entertainment.

Feb.23rd

We rode our bikes over to shuffleboard in the morning. John, Lynda, Gerald and Bev(staying at the Lost Dutchmans State Park) came over to visit in the afternoon. We bought a Honda 2000
invertor generator from Gerald--boondocking here we come!!!
In the evening our Minnesota friends Jim and Gail picked us up to go to the show"Legends of Country Music Show"in Mesa. Very good.

Feb. 24th

Bon Voyage Rob and Genie(Mexico)
Ralph got a chill Monday and is sick with the flu. He mostly stayed in bed while I did laundry.
We booked another week at Golden Sun leaving March 8th for California.

Feb.25th

I played shuffleboard but Ralph stayed in bed. We went for lunch and WalMart for groceries.
Ralph was exhausted and went to bed afterwards.

Feb. 26th

It is very cloudy and cool 64 DegF. I squeezed oranges into juice-very tasty. I read most of the day while Ralph was in bed. He is on an antibiotic now.

Feb. 27th

It rained all night. 54 DegF. and it started to hail and snow around 11 am. (unbelievable for the Phoenix area). Ralph is weak but felt he needed to get up and move around. We went to the Mesa Market for awhile. It still hurts for him to cough. I'm hoping I will escape it.

Feb.28th

Ralph is feeling better and played shuffleboard today. Warmer 22 Deg.C. Ralph had his hair cut and I had mine cut and colored. Afterwards we went to visit the Brook's and Fernquist's at Lost Dutchman State Park. At 7pm we went to the Jimmy Counterfit concert--singer,impersonator and comedien from Nashville. He was very good.
