California to Alberta--- April 28th-May3rd
April 28th
We relaxed and swam in the pool. Another beautiful day in the low 80's. We played shuffleboard in the evening.
April 29th
We went over to the resort ballroom and had breakfast. In the afternoon we went swimming. We invited 3 couples over for happy hour. Don and Gerri (Victoria B.C.)surprised us and brought a delicious dinner--riblets,salads and even dessert. We all went to play shuffleborad afterwards.
April 30th
Ralph and I packed everything up in the morning. George from shuffleboard and a permanent resident is storing our bicycles until we come back next winter. We enjoyed lunch and music around the pool. In the evening the girls lost to the boys at shuffleboard. We said our good bye's to all.
May 1st to 3rd
Homeward bound at 8 am. Ralph drove 11 hours to Nephi,Utah. Windy and lots of traffic especially thru Las Vegas. With clear blue skies and dry roads we drove to Great Falls, Montana (11.5 hours)on the second day. On May 3rd we hit rain just before the Canadian border, sailing through customs. We arrived home at about 2pm.--happy to be home after 29 hours of driving.
We look forward to seeing Derek and family,a two week visit with my Mom and sister Janet on May 25th, and Karilee the weekend of June 2nd to 5th.
